Mechanical keyboards

Most keyboards work with a gel back and a circuit board, giving a quieter typing experience, but coming with drawbacks. There’s no feedback to know you’ve hit the key hard enough to register, save for character on the screen. That means you strike the key harder than you need and that can cause a greater likelihood of RSI and wear your keyboard out.

Mechanical keyboards use switches (hence the click). They’re more durable and better for your hands.
